Timberland Lodge

The unspoiled dramatic forest and long-range mountain views from Timberland Lodge stretch from the Cohutta Wilderness to North Georgia and up into Tennessee.  This wonderful North Georgia cabin is in the desirable Sun Rock community and sits high on the mountain side.

Timberland Lodge is an all-tongue-and-groove log home with a spectacular prow front that extends out toward the spectacular scenery.  The open floor plan includes a two-story vaulted great room with a gorgeous leather sectional sofa, elk antler chandelier and a dining table to seat eight, all enhanced by mountain décor.  The chef in the group will enjoy the open and well stocked kitchen with breakfast bar, which faces the main windows.  In fact, the floor-to-ceiling glass windows showcase such great views, they will soon beckon you outdoors to watch the beautiful sunsets while relaxing on the large open front porch.  On the side of the cabin is a large outdoor living area with a huge screened-in porch that can be enjoyed just about all year-round. It offers a dining table for six, a hot tub and a stone, wood burning fireplace.

For sleeping accommodations enjoy the master loft upstairs with a king size bed and private bathroom.  Its perch at the top of the home means that you will wake in the mornings to beautiful views as the entire glass prow seems to be at eye level.  This cabin also offers two bedrooms with queen size beds and adjacent bathrooms, and a futon located in the downstairs game room level.  Each bedroom has wonderful locally-crafted log furnishings adding to the home’s perfect mountain style.

Not only can you enjoy the peaceful moments Timberland Lodge inspires, but you can also enjoy some competition in the lodge’s large game room.  There is fun for the whole family with air hockey, foosball, board games, PlayStation2, Game Cube for the young kids and a big screen television.  Or, send all the kids downstairs where they’ll stay entertained while you enjoy a little “R and R” during a nice soak in the hot tub.
