Being in tune with nature has never been so possible than at Toccoa Camp, an exclusive award-winning, private, gated trout-fishing river sanctuary and a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat.  Toccoa Camp Lodge is one of the community’s finest.  With earth-friendly paint, stains, carpet and cabinetry, this custom-built, high-end lodge is also EarthCraft House and Energy Star certified. 

The home sits at the intersection of two primary waterways fed from the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains, known for their year-round prolific trout fishing.  Designed to protect the surrounding wildlife and nature, Toccoa Camp Lodge sits serenely over the delicately flowing Hot House Creek and steps away from, the Toccoa River’s tail water rapids.  The most noted year-round trout-system in the Southeast convenes here, and the developer took special care in creating North Georgia’s first green community development by restoring and protecting the natural watershed which allows trout to reproduce.  The waterways are also a great place for tubing and kayaking.  With the home’s backyard stairs that exit onto the creek, a relaxing two-hour drift to Horseshoe bend is literally just steps away.

The Toccoa Camp Lodge is a sanctuary in every way and its beautiful architecture is palpably calm and welcoming.  Soft light peeks through branches from the woodsy-views outside into large, paned windows which grace every room in the house.  The cheery, white-washed pine walls perfectly balance the richly crafted dark-wood floors, cabinetry and old-world-style beams.  The kitchen is outfitted with granite countertops and high-efficiency, LG stainless steel appliances.  The décor is nature-inspired with colors that blend seamlessly with the woods and water views outside.  The river bank beckons you to witness the magical wildlife it feeds. An abundance of ducks and birds now call Toccoa Camp home and giant trout splash to the surface as they thrash along the river currents. Stop into Brown Feed in Blue Ridge and feed the trout at your leisure while you catch them.   A family of wood ducks has chosen this home’s spot on the river as their permanent residence.  While the lodge is privately set, one neighbor can always be counted on – a deer, rescued by the developer is friendly enough to accompany you on walks and to be hand-fed.  A three-mile hiking trail is just beyond the home’s fence and invites exploration of the area’s untouched woods, filled with river birch trees, mountain laurel, hardwoods, rhododendron and granite boulders.

After your hiking, fishing or kayaking activities, you may want to head into the town of Blue Ridge which is only minutes away for lively dinners or playtime.   Or your family and friends can stay back home and relax in the large and soothing hot tub.  Huge decks offer abundant seating and a perfect place to dine after cooking out on the stainless steel grill.  Indoors, evening activities abound with a regulation-size billiards table, three large, flat screen televisions and two DVD players.  Instead, you might consider a one-on-one challenge at the Chess and Backgammon table.  Or, perhaps a great book and plush leather arm chair await you in front of the home’s magnificent stone fireplace.

When it’s time to retire, up to 10 can sleep comfortably in the four master suite bedrooms and a wonderful upstairs loft.   Four-and-a-half, high-end bathrooms offer luxurious conveniences from the spa baths with Jacuzzi to granite countertops throughout.  The master bedroom offers a king-sized bed and all other sleeping quarters have queen beds, all of which are dressed in fine bedding.
