There is something about Blue Ridge Overlook lodge that sparks a flight of the imagination.  The journey begins along a steep, but paved mountainside road which culminates at a grand porte-cochere built from enormous log columns firmly anchoring the front of the impressive home.  With architectural flair, its jutting deck angles and deeply pitched rooftops, this high-end cabin seems to salute the surroundings as well as your arrival. 

Inside, a massive Canadian log goes through the very center of the open floor plan, as if to welcome you to a luxuriously-versioned childhood adventure in the ultimate mountaintop tree house.  The custom-built all tongue-and-wood groove home is tastefully decorated in a very grownup and elegant wine-and-grape theme.  Lush furnishings are perfectly placed around a huge stone hearth.  Rich wood grains are repeated throughout with hickory flooring and beautiful cabinetry.  The gourmet kitchen has high-end stainless steel appliances and is completely open to the living space making cooking a festive and collective affair.  Of course, the dramatic two-story windows make the most of the majestic views from this home’s aptly named overlook of the North Georgia mountains with twinkling lights from the town far below.. 

More entertainment is to be had in the downstairs game room where yet another fireplace and a second kitchen provide a convenient way to feed your childlike enthusiasm.  After trying your hand at a few rounds of pool or foosball, you will be drawn to the upper-level deck.  Pipe down and warm up with a soak in the large hot tub placed perfectly in front of a third gorgeous fireplace.  Here you can ponder the options for a dinner out in the town of Blue Ridge which is just a short drive away.  On another night, you may choose to stay home so you can enjoy a nightcap at the outdoor bar, a perfect spot on the deck to toast the sunset and the slow of the day. 

Three comfortable bedrooms with plush queen sized beds await for restful slumber.  Ample bedroom windows throughout make the most of the night’s silhouetted views and sparkling stars.  The master has a large curved palladium window set off beautifully by the peaks and pitches of the room’s vaulted ceiling.   There are also three luxurious bathrooms, one with a Jacuzzi tub and double sinks and all with upscale finishes, as well as stone and ceramic showers.
