Welcome to Lazy Bear Lodge where serene days and laid back nights await you.  Take a languid drive up a slowly winding gravel road to this charming, established cabin rental in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains. 

This home is truly where the heart is and you will feel it from every aspect.  Friendly, Southern-style wraparound porches grace nearly every room and are natural gathering places for family and special friends.  A whimsical bear sculpture that was lovingly carved by the owner’s father greets you at the front door.  Inside, the beautifully crafted tongue and groove interior glows from the care taken to make this home so comfortable and special.  Professionally decorated with handmade log and country furniture, the living area offers an open floor plan yet is also quite cozy.  Special touches from a comfy throw on the fine leather furniture to the beautiful stone fireplace and bear themed touches will welcome you to settle in.  The well-appointed kitchen has beautiful granite counter tops and high end appliances that just beg for someone to whip up good old comfort food for the whole gang.  There are also plenty of casual dining options from the 6-person indoor dining table to kitchen counter-seating and outdoor picnic style table. 

Speaking of the outdoors, Lazy Bear Lodge is perfectly situated to make the most of its stunning mid-range mountain views.  The living area’s large windows and main back deck face east so your day will begin with vistas toward magnificent sunrises brightening the horizon and mountaintops.  Take a leisurely stroll around the home’s secluded grounds toward the many hiking trails available in the area.  Perhaps your day would be best spent reading a book or having quality time with your loved ones beside the beautiful outdoor stone fireplace.  Lazy Bear Lodge is ample enough to provide everyone with relaxation options in every corner.

You may find many of your houseguests downstairs, in the casual family room where there is a regulation size billiards table and a convenient refrigerator and microwave.  Just beyond this area, others might be enjoying the six-person hot tub perfectly positioned on the lower deck for privacy and for taking in the great views.  Sip sweet tea swaying softly in a rocking chair on any of the balconies or porches, or relax in front of any of the home’s five televisions and you will soon understand why Lazy Bear Lodge is also known for inspiring quality nap time.

When it’s time to fully retire, this home offers four bedrooms with two king suites, one on the main floor and another on the upper level loft.  There are two queen sized bedrooms on the lower deck and a futon is available in the upstairs loft area.  All beds are custom-made from logs in the area and are beautifully outfitted with homey quilts and well-appointed drapes and decor. 

This is simply a great home with lots of room for great hospitality and gatherings.  Relaxation reigns at Lazy Bear Lodge and your time will unwind like a soothing and familiar slow Southern drawl.
