Description
A great Georgia mountain vacation transports you to another world, a private sanctuary where you can relax, unwind, and have fun with family and friends, worlds away from the stresses and pressures of daily life. You can expect that and so much more at Duckin’ Out.  Perched high on a hillside just five minutes from Lake Blue Ridge, with a wraparound deck and magnificent, unobstructed long-range vistas visible from every room, this spectacular property surrounds you with nature’s beauty.

Imagine sipping morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while watching the glorious sunrises and stunning sunsets from totally unobstructed, breathtaking views on the front porch. Rock away in a rocking chair while watching God's grandeur, or curl up in the living room in a warm faux fur blanket in front of the wood-burning fireplace as you stream your favorite show or watch a DVD on the 37” Smart TV. If you fall asleep, no problem: the sofa pulls out into a queen size bed.

There are two bedrooms on the main level, each with a comfy queen bed and great view, one with a 26” with Amazon Firestick-equipped Smart TV. They share a bathroom with tub/shower. The master bedroom in the upstairs open loft has a hand-carved king bed, cathedral ceiling, and private bath with tub/shower. A queen size futon provides a quiet reading nook and extra sleeping accommodation.

The spacious kitchen has plenty of cabinets and counter space, an electric stove/oven, refrigerator with icemaker and trays, microwave, a crockpot and a drip coffeemaker. There’s room for six at the rustic farm-style dining table and bench. Duck figurines and artwork, which the owner collects, reflect the cozy log cabin’s theme and name.   Outside on the deck, there’s a gas grill, four rocking chairs and tables, two bars and bar stools, and a fire pit behind the house for late-night s’mores.

Of course, you’ll want to explore everything the Aska Adventure Area has to offer. You can rent a boat on Lake Blue Ridge, go fishing or tubing on the Toccoa River, just four miles down the road, and enjoy great food and cocktails at the Toccoa River Restaurant. Take a hike on Ripshin Mountain and take in the view from historic Aska Farms. Or drive five miles to downtown Blue Ridge, where restaurants and shopping await you and you can book a day trip on the scenic mountain railway.

The cabin provides WiFi, a stackable washer/dryer, local phone service in master bedroom and office, and ceiling fans throughout. You’re welcome to bring up to two dogs with you to “duck out” of the city and escape to this little oasis in the mountains. Whether it’s a short weekend getaway, a family reunion or a company retreat, this cozy cabin offers you the ultimate stress release in the perfect mountain setting.

We enjoyed the porch the most because we had room to sit and eat and talk together with a nice view. House was in a good location, everything worked and there were plenty of utensils and cookware for use. Thank you!
