Description
The rushing waters of Fightingtown Creek await you. This creek is right out back at The Bear’s Creek Retreat! Wade, tube, and trout fish right off the dock.

At The Bear’s Creek Retreat, take it easy overlooking the rushing waters on multiple decks, at the picnic table, or on the porch swing. Grill your fresh catch, make s’mores at the Fire Pit, or take a soak in the Hot Tub with the flowing water for your music. The cabin is pristinely situated creekside in a forest of Hemlock trees but less than ten minutes from downtown, apple orchards, wineries, and more.

This former fishing camp cabin was transformed with custom touches to be happy, cozy and luxurious. See if you can spot all the bear-themed art and décor (don’t forget to look up!). Crack open a window, settle into the cushy couch, and let creek sounds soothe you. Watch a selection from the DVD library or play Pac-Man or Race Car Shuffleboard in the skylit Game Room. Spark up the wood-burning Fireplace. Enjoy the immaculate kitchen, stocked with everything you need, from burger night to baking to holiday celebrations.

In the Master Bedroom at The Bear’s Creek Retreat, you’ll feel like royalty. The majestic king-sized Walnut headboard dominates the room. Access the main deck and creek through the bedroom’s French doors or stay inside to enjoy its snuggly sitting area. The ensuite bathroom has an extra-large shower with multiple water sources and wow-worthy blue tile. The vanity was hand-crafted to include two gorgeous natural stone sinks and twig accents from trees out back.

The second bedroom is a beauty. Your eye will be drawn to the closet’s hand-crafted barn door, Rainbow Poplar queen-sized headboard, and dramatic over-sized bear wall painting. The ensuite bathroom is serene with its ‘S’ shaped live-edge vanity and shower/tub with soft wood-themed tile. Lean in for a look out this room’s window for the best view of the cabin’s largest bear.

The Game Room invites you to relax, sleep, and of course, play! In here, you’ll find the comfortable full-sized log-framed futon and have private access to the main deck. The ensuite bathroom (may share access to the living room) has a tile shower with creek-inspired river rock accents. Gear up for multiple games, from electronic to strategic to luck. Lots of possibilities when you’re on cabin time.

The Bear’s Creek Retreat is a great place to unwind after your day exploring the region. Or, with so many lovely amenities, you may not want to leave.

The cabin was the perfect long weekend getaway we were looking for, even though it rained much of the time we had a wonderful time. Even without getting to fly fish! The cabin is so cozy and the rain on the tin roof was so relaxing.

Favorites:

1. Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad Trip

2. Downtown

3. Sasquatch Museum

4. Relaxing

5. Enjoying the sounds of the water

6. All the bears! --> Favorite artwork in the play room!

We will be back! Thanks for sharing your home!

I loved how the cabin had more than 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 dishwasher pod! With small children we aren't going to be able to get by all weekend doing 1 load of dishes. Even though it rained most of the trip our families had a great time. The beds were very comfortable and the movie selection left something for everyone. The kids especially loved the toilet paper holder in the master & the rain shower. Our 5 & 9 year old boys actually wanted to take a shower! That was new! Thanks for sharing!

An amazing cabin and experience! Beautiful, well thought out, attention to detail is astounding. Plenty to do here and one day we chose not to leave this little paradise. Will definitely be back and we'll bring friends! Thanks for a memorable vacation!

Bear's Creek is an absolutely amazing and special experience! Between the spare parking, the chairs overlooking(and for sitting in!) the river, the cozy arrangement accompanied by spa-like appliances, the natural lighting... we are at a loss for words to do this retreat justice. You can feel the attention to detail all throughout the cabin(for example, I counted over 134 bears!), and despite all the wonderful surrounding attractions, it is easy to just stay in and enjoy this retreat.

We had a blast visiting The Bear's Creek Retreat for a second time. We visited back in March and came back in July, so we got to see The Bear's Creek Retreat "Summer Edition." We spent our week using up the amenities of the beautiful cabin. The weather was fabulous, we got to splash around in the creek and enjoy our time reading and relaxing on the back porch. We also used the firepit to roast marshmallows, yum! And the outdoor grill was great for a summer cookout. The inside of the cabin is as clean and fresh as I remembered. I can't wait to return to our favorite cabin getaway. It feels like home away from home. I can't recommend enough.

I went to The Bears Creek Retreat for a second stay this summer and absolutely loved it! The cabin has a cozy, luxurious feel that offered activities inside and outside. The creek is lovely and is nice to listen to when you sit on the back deck. You can relax by sitting in the river or hang out on the back deck. My favorite night was when we roasted marshmallows at the campfire. I also enjoyed sitting around the living room enjoying the ambiance of the natural light. The cabin is a short drive from the Blue Ridge downtown which made it easy to go there for meals or shopping. I can’t wait to visit the cabin for a third time!

This was AWESOME! Perfect getaway for a girls weekend. Nights in the hot tub (and mornings). Wading in the creek. Roasting hotdogs and s'mores in the fire pit. Lying in bed listening to the running creek. Beautiful, clean, comfortable cabin with so many amenities. Thank you so much for providing us with your cabin and all that comes with it, so we could have such a great time.

This was the perfect getaway from our hectic Florida home. It really made me miss this setting!! To be honest, I just wanted to stay right here in the cabin or wading in the creek. I was also amazed at the great restaurants here (population = 1200). Thank you for a great time & we will be back!

We loved the cabin & all the bears! Perfect view, too! Our favorite spots include: Southern Charm, Lake Blue Ridge, Swinging Bridge at Toccoa, Hike at Amicalola Falls, S'mores at the fire pit.

I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful Spring Break/ Birthday week getaway at The Bear’s Creek Retreat. It was the best experience. The cabin was the perfect size for the four of us and could have comfortably fit two others. We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee on the deck while enjoying the soothing sounds of the creek in the backyard, such a peaceful ambiance. Cracking a window open is the perfect white noise. The amenities were fabulous. My favorites were the hot tub and the outdoor fire pit! The cabin's recent renovations along with the beautiful bear-themed artwork created a luxurious experience. I can't forget to mention that the cabin's location is also right around the corner from Bear Claw Vineyards and Mercier Orchards, which were also favorites. It is the perfect 10-minute drive from Downtown Blue Ridge, what isn't to love! I will be recommending The Bear's Creek Retreat to my friends and family. I hope to be back soon!

My experience at The Bear’s Creek Retreat was absolutely amazing. The scenery, artwork, and amenities made the week-long stay at the cabin divine. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit, and the ready-to-move-in kitchen for cooking. We felt like we were home. Out of the four of us, I slept in the guest bedroom on the full-sized futon which was super comfortable. I loved waking up to the skylight and creek views each morning. We also cozied up on the couches and watched movies with the use of the cabin’s DVD player and DVD stash. Also, you can sign into Netflix and other streaming apps. Overall, it was a great girls' trip. Lots of fun with wine and board games. It’s a trip I’ll never forget. Not to mention the short distance to Downtown which has the cutest local shops and restaurants. You’re set for the whole stay. We journeyed either Downtown or to a Vineyard each day, sometimes both. It’s the perfect remoteness yet the town is 10 minutes away. I can’t recommend this cabin enough. I hope to return soon!

If I could describe this property using one word I would use “tranquility.” This cabin was exceptionally beautiful as much as it was peaceful. I spent a week here in March with a group of my friends and it was a much needed getaway from reality. It is apparent that the cabin was recently renovated which created a comfortable atmosphere (it was also very clean on arrival). The amenities were taken advantage of and became group favorites, like the hot tub and fireplace. I can’t leave a review without mentioning how great the location also was. It wasn’t more than 10-15 minutes to downtown and less than 10 minutes from my personal favorite - Mercier Orchards. If you’re looking for a relaxing weekend trip, I couldn’t recommend The Bear’s Creek Retreat more. A friendly tip: leave the windows cracked open at night, the white noise from the creek was serene. I will be recommending this cabin to friends and family that are interested in traveling to Blue Ridge!

If you want a relaxing, beautiful, and nature filled trip the Bear’s Creek Retreat is the perfect place to go! I went to this cabin with friends and had a wonderful time. It is clean, organized, and very well decorated. I felt comfortable sleeping there because it was so cozy. The living room space is even bigger in person so we were able to all be there together. The hot tub was a nice addition even when it was cold at night. There are steps to the creek from the porch with a nice view of the woods. The back porch was also great for getting some fresh air. The downtown was close by along with some hiking trails and vineyards so we had activities to do each day. Overall, it was a full cabin experience with a fire pit, nice yard, spacious inside, and great location for Georgia activities!

It’s a “5-Star” accommodation with all the comforts of home.  The interior decor captures the essence of a spa retreat filled with upscale amenities throughout the entire cabin.  From the cozy indoor fireplace, outdoor deck and tranquil sounds of the creek, you have so many options to just relax.  It’s great place for a romantic couple’s weekend or family vacations.  We plan to make this a regular retreat for our family.

This cabin is beautiful and clean. So many small details that made our stay nicer. Lots of places to hang towels, instant hot water dispenser in kitchen (great for a tea drinker like me), lots of throws and blankets (clean ones), and lamps in bedrooms had USB chargers. We loved the creek. Cracked a window no matter which room we were in just to hear it. It’s a running, wide creek. More like a river. And it really is right out back. The master bedroom was to die for. Comfortable mattress and good pillows (in all rooms, actually). Not the crappy kind we found in other rentals. The master bath was a favorite. Just so gorgeously decorated, but also loved the bear toilet paper holder - paper comes out its butt – so cute! The monster-sized shower was a nice treat. The tile around the tub in one of the guest rooms is real soothing so I can see it being great for someone who likes baths or has kids. One of our other favorite things is all the bear art and décor. Not normal tourist shop stuff. There are pops of bear that catch your eye at every turn. I looked around just to see all the bears. This cabin was so comfy and cozy. Had everything we needed and things we didn’t even think we’d need but appreciated and enjoyed. Of course, there’s also the cool deck swing, fire place, fire pit, hot tub. We recommended this to family and friends and will stay again.
