Toccoa Lookout Cottage is not your average Blue Ridge GA cabin rental. With 3,000 square feet of gorgeously decorated living space and four bedrooms to accommodate 11 people, all the comforts of home and amenities of a private resort, and the Toccoa River running through the property, this is a very special place.

Located in the heart of the Aska Adventure area just eight miles from the shops and restaurants of downtown Blue Ridge, the cottage is five minutes to hiking and mountain biking trails, close to boating on Lake Blue Ridge, kayaking and tubing rentals, and attractions like Fall Branch Falls and the Swinging Bridge. Georgia’s best trout fishing is right outside your door, so you can catch dinner, grill it up, and enjoy it under the stars as you listen to the sound of the flowing river.

Beautifully crafted with two huge decks with plenty of seating overlooking the Toccoa and a third deck down the steps at the river’s edge with a picnic table, chairs and a fire pit, the property is customized for outdoor living. The upper deck is a great place to enjoy meals or your morning coffee, gather with friends and family or take a nap on the extra long sofa. Or settle into a chair with a book and a beverage to read as you enjoy the river view.

Inside, this magnificent, updated, and unique home is warm and inviting.  It is elegantly furnished and decorated in soothing, calming neutral shades that complement the serene, tranquil ambiance of its natural setting. There’s no shortage of places to sit back and relax, but it if you want fun and games, the game room offers a billiards table, 55” DirecTV and DVD-equipped TV, fireplace, and a custom wet bar with four bar stools and a beer/wine refrigerator. You’ll find a kids’ play area with toys, books, and games, lots of DVDs in the family room, plus cornhole and Giant Jenga games on the lower deck.

The large kitchen is fully stocked and equipped for cooking and baking, with Keurig and drip coffeemakers, a crockpot, griddle, and an ice drawer in the fridge. The dining table seats eight, plus another four at the extra table in the kitchen.

Each of the bedrooms offers the promise of a fantastic night’s sleep. The main level master bedroom has a king bed, walk-in closet, private screened-in porch, 32” TV, and bath with double vanity, soaking tub and walk-in tiled shower. Upstairs, you’ll find one bedroom with a king bed and reading nook and another bedroom with three twin beds. There’s also a common area with two twin beds, sofa, a 40” TV, and a bath with tub/shower. If you have kids, they’ll have their own private floor here. The lower level bedroom has a queen bed and bath with tub and shower.

Toccoa Lookout Cottage also features two gas fireplaces, WiFi, three Blu-ray DVD players, Wii, ceiling fans in every room, screened windows, a washer/dryer in the kitchen closet, and child amenities including a high chair, pack ‘n play, and toddler size cups and plates.  The cottage’s greatest asset is the way it will make you feel when you’re there—and remember long after you leave.

What we loved most about this home was the location on the Toccoa River. We spent hours each night by the fire pit with our family. The other amenities were great - game room, hot tub, balconies, etc. The home is spacious enough, we never felt crowded with our large group.

We brought 6 high school/college boys and family for and end of the summer trip. The house was perfect! Great space for everyone to hang out together, but them also big enough to have separate (quiet) time as well. It was clean with an awesome location and we would come back.

This was our second time staying at the Toccoa Lookout Cottage. Our favorite thing about it is that we can tell that someone has put some real thought and love into the home. It feels like a family home, not a sterile rental property. Our kids love to play with the toys under the stairs, the fairy houses, and the movie collection. It just feels comfortable.

The view of the Toccoa River from the decks are wonderful. The space for 4 couples was great. The kitchen had everything we needed to make great meals in most nights.

Close to the water.

Our cabin was set up perfectly for our big group! We enjoyed the top floor for the bridesmaids to get ready and the bottom floor for Games of pool in the evening and cornhole on the porch The natural light in this home is amazing. And the sound of the river below will hum you to sleep.

The size. The fact that everything we needed was right there. We felt like we were far enough away from the city, yet we were still close enough to get to places we wanted to see.

The cabin had everything you could want. Location was beautiful overlooking Toccoa River. We enjoyed the deck space and fire pit. Linens and bedding were plush.

Sound of river, back deck & riverside area is gorgeous place to hang out, large & well equipped kitchen w/ plenty of storage space for our food & things, plenty of surface & food prep space and seating options for dining, big fridge, dishwasher works well, large surface area just inside front door is PERFECT for dropping sunglasses, keys, etc. and was high enough that the 2 year-old could not reach :), pool table & Wii, great layout for multi-generational family of 8+, private porch off master bedroom, comfortable beds, big tub in master bath, tasteful & simple décor, felt private even though it was next to another house, comfortable couches to lounge, plenty of space to spread out & lastly - THE KIDS ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS! Our 2 yr-old grandson spent many content hours there :)

Beautiful home. It is clear the owners have gone out of their way to make this a wonderful vacation home. Comfortable beds and furniture. Well stocked kitchen. Pool table, hot tub, corn hole, books and games. Steps to river are very sturdy and easy to navigate. Loved the view from both covered porches. We want to come back when we can enjoy the deck by the river. Much better experience than a previous rental company we had used.

Amazing cabin with gorgeous views. So clean and inviting.
Great house with great amenities and amazing location!
Wonderful accommodations! Super clean and well equipped. The house is very comfortable and accommodating. I highly recommend this property.
Toccoa Lookout Cottage was perfect for our family get away. It was a beautiful cabin situated perfectly on the river. The views were just incredible! The house was decorated with so much thought and it felt just like home. They even had stuff for the kiddos like a high chair, pack and play, toy nook and even baby spoons/plates/cups!! The basement was perfect for adult fun in the evenings and the sprawling balconies made for perfect daytime hangouts. The house was easy to access and they had everything we needed! We will definitely be coming back for another stay at this home. Thank you for a perfect weekend!
What a gorgeous cabin on the river! I lead a yoga retreat here for 8 women. The decor was stunning and everyone just loved the space and the vibe of the home. Right on the gorgeous Toccoa River with hiking near by and plenty of space for yoga and meditation! Will definitely return!
This was hands-down the cleanest cabin we have ever stayed at. We’ve been renting cabins for about 13 years on New Year’s Eve. The space was perfect for families with children and the back deck was so amazing that we all took naps throughout each day listening to the sound of the river. Highly recommend it. Plus it had all the dishware we needed to be able to cook anything we wanted.
This space was just PERFECT for our family. Large enough that we all had our own space, but cozy enough to feel like home. We were so entertained here that we hardly left to explore the town!
The cottage is like a warm familiar hug. There’s nothing you need, everything has been thought of... when you’re traveling with kids it can be a little stressful feeling but we instantly felt the kids too, were just as welcomed. The river is such a piece of heaven, even in the rain it’s just a perfect view. We’re so grateful for the time we spent here and hope to return!
The Toccoa Lookout Cottage is incredible! Do not look any further - everything you need for a relaxing weekend in the mountains is right here. This home is straight out of a home decor catalog. It came with so many special touches and conveniences, and the view was spectacular. My group has already talked about returning! Thanks for everything!
Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage. The accommodations were so comfortable and luxurious. It was equipped with just about everything we needed. We all enjoyed the pool table and Foosball as well as the deck on the river with the fire pit. We have a 3-1/2 and 1-1/2 year old in the family and they especially loved playing with the toys in the nook under the stairs and the small Foosball table. There were 8 of us all total and we had more than we needed. We were fortunate that the weather cooperated and the fall colors were at peak. Our family has been vacationing in the Blue Ridge area for years now and we have stayed in some fine homes but this cabin was by far the nicest. Cannot recommend this place enough. We look forward to staying here in the future.
This place will not disappoint! It has everything you need plus more. It’s truly luxurious and such a serene place. The view is spectacular, the accommodations are lovely, and it was everything we expected plus more!
The place was spectacular! The views are to die for and the cabin was awesome! Perfect weekend getaway with friends! We can’t wait to come back; we’ve decided this will be an annual trip! :)
You are bound to have a wonderful time at this beautiful house right on the river. It can be whatever you want...relaxing, fun, adventurous, quiet, etc.
We had such a wonderful time at this amazing house. Made us want our own place on the Toccoa!! It is such a neat house and was just perfect for the kids, especially the wood gates that you can put up on deck to block everyone in.
We had a family gathering for 2 nights. The house fit our needs perfectly! We spent most of our time at the house. It was relaxing and peaceful. The porch was our favorite gathering spot. However, 2 of my granddaughters fell in love with the children’s cubby under the stairs and my grandson loved the deck by the water. Although we didn’t use the game room to any extent, it would be a big plus for older children or teenagers. The beds were cozy and relaxing. The towels were large and plush. The house is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The landscape and accents added to the natural beauty of the area. Although the river is below the main living space, it is audible and soothing. Nights were quiet which made for great sleeping. The serenity of this place is special! The owner of the Toccoa Lookout Cottage has thought of so many touches that make this a great place for families, groups of friends, and people who love to fish and cook. There’s a fantastic grill, lots of herbs growing out front, beautiful decks and views. Kids of all ages will have a great time. They provided a cozy play nook under the stairs complete with toys, books for all ages, puzzles, games, a huge dvd collection, pack and play, high chair, kid-sized life jackets, and a drawer full of kid’s tableware. The scenery is gorgeous and the house feels very secluded. We enjoyed taking walks along the river on the gravel road that runs in front of the house. There are lots of restaurants, activities, and hiking trails from 5-20 minutes away. The dock and river are perfect for fishing, kayaks, and tubes. Tube and kayak rentals are available nearby and there is a fantastic fishing store in downtown Blue Ridge. We enjoyed the zipline tour and Serenberry Vinyards (both are a 15-20 minute drive) as well as multiple hikes and fun downtown blue ridge shopping and dining.
A great river getaway with enough space to accommodate large groups. Fully stocked with the necessities and awesome amenities!
Absolutely amazing cabin that my family and friends have had the privilege to stay in! The decor all the way down to the breathtaking view of Toccoa river!!! The cabin is beautifully decorated and maintained. We’ve stayed at a lot of cabins and we were so impressed by how clean everything was, so many little touches and detailed that made the place very special and unique. During the whole process from check in to check out ,
This place was an excellent place to stay for my family and friends. The layout of the house was perfect for everyone to have there own private room. It was quiet and relaxing.
We had an amazing time of refreshing and relaxing at the Toccoa Lookout Cottage! This whole property is beautiful and well maintained. It is decorated beautifully and there are so many little details the owner has provided for their guests! Pool table, corn hole boards, foosball, movies, extra blankets, pillows, hair dryers, etc! The list goes on and on! We enjoyed tubing on the Toccoa River and sitting by the water making Smores. We enjoyed the water fountain in the front of the house and the beautiful scenery all around! My family had an amazing time and we look forward to staying here again in the future.
Perfection! Book it! I took a group of faculty to Blue Ridge for a writing retreat and our group LOVED this house. So much space for our group to spread out and come together. You can’t beat the river location. We felt very welcomed. The house is very well decorated and clean.
This cottage is located in one of my favorite locations - between Aska National Reserve (hiking, tubing, kayaking, fishing) and Downtown Blue Ridge (local shopping, eateries). Not only is the cottage centrally located to so many things, it's a wonderful place if you're looking to just relax on the river. The cottage accommodated our family of 8 (one 1 yr-old and one 7 yr-old) spaciously while the home’s thoughtful amenities left us without want. If you are looking for a place to unplug and unwind, I highly recommend this beautiful cottage.
