Annual Festivals

The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association has provided a unique art experience through our Arts in the Park festival series in the Downtown City Park of Blue Ridge, GA. Make your plans now to spend Memorial Day Weekend and the Second Weekend in October enjoying art and nature in our North Georgia Mountain Art Town of Blue Ridge, Georgia.  Located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the Arts in the Park festival series draws in excess of 20,000 attendees annually and a wide array of artists and food vendors.  With over 170+ artists, exhibitors, and vendors booths, our visitors enjoy a variety of fine arts and fine crafts, demonstrations, food, and much more during the Arts in the Park festivals.  

The Blue Ridge Adventure Race Weekend is in May! All teams start in downtown Blue Ridge with a Friday start for the 24 Hour teams and a Saturday start for the 8 Hour Teams. All teams finishing Saturday Evening are invited for a special event including food, drink and a live band. Spectator maps for guests will be available at race headquarters all day in the Downtown Park.  

Downtown Blue Ridge sets the stage as a fantastic back drop and venue location for a perfect early fall event. The leaves start to change with cooler days and crisp evenings that invite outdoor activities! The sounds of Blues music and the sweet smell of BBQ from local and regional cookers will fill the air as families and groups of friends enjoy this unique setting and event. 

Our local Kiwanis rodeo has traditionally been one of the top small town rodeos throughout the southeast. The event draws approximately 2500 people per night. The annual Kiwanis Rodeo is ALWAYS held on the third FULL weekend of August and is open on both Friday and Saturday nights (rain or shine!). 

Free Fly-Fishing Seminars with Atlanta Fly Fishing School! Fly-tying, fly-casting, casting pond, conservation and more!  Visit your favorite vendors including fishing and outdoor gear, pottery, jewelry, clothing and more. Cast the latest fly-fishing rods and reels. Learn about trout fishing in Fannin County with local trout-fishing experts. Book your next fishing trip in the Trout Capital of Georgia with local trout-fishing guides.  

The focus of the Blue Ridge Mountains Wine & Jazz Festival  is for the North Georgia Mountains to be recognized as “A Cultural Tourism Destination”, to feature regional wines being produced locally,  provide financial support and opportunities for area students of Jazz music, and awareness to the community as to the importance of this legendary American music style

Annual event in downtown Blue Ridge with ice carvings and demonstrations, fire dancers, a crowned Ice King and Queen, live music, and a chili cookoff.

Come visit the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association to buy some great local art and crafts from Thanksgiving to Christmas. This will make great holiday gifts as you share some Blue Ridge mountain culture with your friends and family.

The annual dowtown Blue Ridge Barbeque starts at 11 am and keep on going until the food runs out, so make sure that you stop by early! Great BBQ food and local entertainment.

Live music and food beginning at 4 pm. Food provided by the Masonic Lodge. Incredible fireworks over Lake Blue Ridge at dark so bring the entire family and friends to celebrate the Independence Day in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Come enjoy the Christmas festival in downtown Blue Ridge. There will be music, refreshments, holiday caroling and all-day activities. Then Santa will arrive after the lighting of the Christmas tree. This great traditional event is sponsored by the Blue Ridge Business Association.

Funny and fun Fourth of July celebration and parade in Downtown Blue Ridge. Sponsored by the Blue Ridge Business Assn.

Have a fun day with your favorite pet; parade, pet education and demonstrations, costume contest, prizes, photos and more. Sponsored by the Humane Society of Blue Ridge.

Casual jam sessions for acoustic musicians are held under the trees and pavilions along the Toccoa River.  Pickin’ in the Park at Horseshoe Bend Park is every Thursday, 6:00 PM to dusk, May through September.  Free Admission. Wheelchair accessible. Bring the family and a blanket or chair! .
