Description
Nestled in a sloping forest of pine and laurel, Fairy Cross Chalet stands atop three enchanting wooded acres of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and overlooks the Greater Smoky Mountains of both Tennessee and North Carolina. Be one of the very first guests to enjoy this newly built, cabin property.

The chalet gets its name from naturally occurring staurolite crystals that form seven miles below the earth’s surface and twist under pressure into 60 and 90-degree angles, creating the area’s famous Fairy Cross Stone.

These little gems can be found in only a few places in the world, one of them being right here at Fairy Cross Chalet! It has often been said fairies inhabited certain places in the Blue Ridge Mountains, roaming freely and delighting in serenity. And the stones themselves are said to hold powers of protection and good luck.

The owners have created a one-mile long private hiking trail on the property that weaves through this mystical forest. Revel in these legends of fairies and tales of good fortune, as you walk the trail hunting for your very own lucky memento to take home with you.  We recommend finding a spot on the ground and sifting for them. It’s a fun way to embrace the lore of the area.

This three-story cabin is decorated in a mountain chic theme, and appointed with all the modern creature comforts one would expect from a luxury experience. The main floor has twenty-foot cathedral-style ceilings crossed by large wooden beams and adorned with an oversized wood and iron chandelier and a floor-to-ceiling stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace. With custom maple cabinetry, sleek black granite countertops, all stainless-steel appliances, rustic knotty pine stairs, doors, frames, and moldings, modern matte black hardware, and gorgeous wide-slatted engineered hardwood flooring, you’ll feel the coziness of a cabin and the clean lines of a contemporary haven. This elegant blend of modern décor and traditional cabin amenities provides the perfect experience that is woodsy yet elevated, airy yet cozy, warm yet stylish. You’ll feel truly at home as you enjoy beautiful mountain views from each of its 25 windows.

As you move outdoors, you’ll find plenty to do on the 80 feet of upper and lower deck space. Relax and unwind with a glass of wine on one of the upper deck’s six comfy Adirondack chairs. Watch the sunset or just take in the views while warming yourself by the toasty outdoor fireplace. You can then go down to the lower deck and cook up a delicious meal from the gas grill and enjoy it at the picnic table. At the end of the day, you can process all of this beauty and wonder while receiving a gentle massage from the cabin’s ultra-relaxing hot tub jets, surrounded by festive strings of fairy lights, or by roasting marshmallows in the firepit.

As for local adventures, you’ll find downtown Blue Ridge with its old-fashioned train and abundance of restaurants and retail is just a 30-minute drive. You can enjoy horseback riding or rent a boat at Lake Blue Ridge. You can go apple picking at one of the many local orchards or whitewater rafting just north on the wildly beautiful Ocoee River.

Or, you can simply stay home and: make a sumptuous chef-inspired gourmet meal in the fully-equipped kitchen; make popcorn in the old-fashioned popcorn machine and watch movies on the theatre style 85” TV; play ping pong or board games; or immerse yourself in a great book from one of the many stunning vantages the cabin has to offer.

A magical and exciting vacation awaits you. Discover the beauty and charm of the Fairy Cross Chalet. You’ll surely want to come back, again and again!

We planned this last minute and it was amazing. I can't say enough. Everything about the cabin is beautiful and luxurious. We'll definitely stay again in the future.

Thank you for sharing your home. It is beautiful! Our kids loved the entertainment room and bunk beds! The kids and my wife loved the fire pit and the outside fireplace on the main deck. The views are stunning! We enjoyed the hot tub too.  We of course went apple picking and visited most of the orchards. The family had a great time hiking the Nottely Lake hiking trail. The trail is kid friendly and we were basically the only ones there. Horseback riding will be done next year. The cabin was very clean and well supplied. My family and I enjoyed the layout and spaciousness of the home. The beds were comfy and slept well. No TVs in the bedrooms meant more bonding time with family. Overall, great vacation. We would stay again!

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time staying in your beautifully designed and decorated home. We arrived at dusk and were so welcomed with all the lights on and the TV turned  to a relaxing scene of a waterfall so kudos to the Escape to Blue Ridge team for setting the romantic scene!

What a beautiful home surrounded by a field of green trees that hug you! When it rains, you can hear it hitting the roof. It put me into a deep sleep...calming and peaceful. Had a great time watching my daughter and her dad playing ping pong. We had a wonderful vacation and look forward to our next stay.

We had the most incredible time of our lives. The cabin is absolutely stunning. We loved having family dinners on the gorgeous wooden table and playing with the kids in the game room.  We enjoyed the breathtaking views and there were so many deer sightings! Hope that we can come back for a visit soon!

We had such an amazing fun and relaxing vacation in this beautiful chalet. Everything is so well appointed and so modern and stylish....we didn't want to leave. Our family enjoyed the nights out by the fire pit making s'mores and taking in the beautiful sunsets and incredible view. Our kids liked having their own private space and comfy bunk beds downstairs. We can't wait to come back one day. Thank you for all the beautiful memories. We are forever grateful!.

This cabin is absolutely gorgeous! We love all the decor...it was decorated so beautifully. The view is just breathtaking. We enjoyed playing all the fun games over the weekend--especially backgammon! The kids enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit and making s'mores. We loved how tucked away the cabin is and the road we drove on to get here. Everything in here is so perfectly labeled making it easy to find everything. We would definitely come back again! Thank you for such fond family memories here!

We had a blast staying in your cabin for our summer vacation. We enjoyed the hot tub and the downstairs movie area! We did the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway and rented a pontoon boat from Nottely Boat Club and Marina. Thank you for the family memories!

My Mom surprised me with a weekend in this cabin. I invited my closest friend and had a fairy themed party. This cabin was perfect!!! The view was incredible and we took a fairy photo shoot during the sunset. We had a great time here hanging out and having fun with my friends. Outside was very beautiful especially during sundown. I would love to come here again. Thank you for allowing us to experience this home!

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience my family and I had during our recent stay. It was truly a pleasure to spend our spring break in such a beautiful and peaceful setting. This is our first cabin experience. We typically do the beaches of Mexico, but I'm happy we "upgraded". Your cabin welcomed us with a beautiful sunset and view and was absolutely perfect for our needs and we appreciated all the special accents that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The decor and layout of this cabin are unforgettable. From the cozy furniture to the perfect kitchen, every detail was well-considered and made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed spending time on the porch, roasting marshmallows, ping pong tournaments, movies, popcorn and the stunning views of the surrounding wilderness. Coming from the fast life of Chicago, this was the perfect place to unwind and recharge. This was quite the escape for oneness with family and nature. Thank you again and we hope to visit again.

We really enjoyed the cabin during Spring Break. Very clean with plenty of hangers (which is always a problem). The downstairs couch is so comfortable. We liked the clean look of the decor. Dining table is good size and perfect for game nights. Kitchen was fully stocked. Love the coffee cups!  Hiked the trail on the property. Finding all the shovels, hoes, etc. made it entertaining. If someone is missing a hat, it’s hanging on a tree! Went for an ATV ride in Clarksville — had a blast. It was our second time doing it. If going into Blue Ridge, the Blue Coyote was great. All the restaurants are wonderful. Be prepared to wait — you’re on vacation, so relax!

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. The 3-story beautiful cabin is perfect for a couples getaway. We enjoyed the movie room so much and its amenities. The scenery was very beautiful. The bed was pure luxury. The cabin itself was absolutely beautiful. My first impression was coming in and smelling the pure wood. I enjoyed very much the desk located on the third floor, great for remote work. Thank you once again! We will definitely come back!

What a beautiful place! Great decks for doing morning yoga. The private hiking trail gave us a chance to explore nature. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable weekend!

Over the last 50 years or so, we’ve stayed at cabins in the mountains, rivers, and lakes (and the Pacific Ocean and Gulf of Mexico) and none compare to this comfortable and majestically designed and built three story cabin in the North Georgia mountains. We particularly enjoyed how comfortable the living spaces were where we spent most of our time — the master suite upstairs, the cool kitchen, and the living room with the fireplace (which we regularly used in this last week of January).

Being a person who likes to work with and build things of wood, this Fairy Cross Chalet cabin is a thing of natural beauty — the pine, maple, beams, and floors. And the two decks wrapped around the first and second floors give outstanding views of the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains. I can only imagine this natural beauty in spring and beyond. This beautiful cabin reflects its wooded surroundings in a peaceful and uncanny way. Well done designing this little castle in the peaceful woods.

Now, if you want peace and quiet, and restful nights, like we do (and need!), this will be a great place for you and your friends. We feel totally rested and rejuvenated as we are about to leave. The master bed was outstanding, other than the fact it gave rise to intermittent snoring and such!

Lastly, everything worked perfectly and the cabin was clean as a whistle. We will definitely return in the near future. The chalet gets a 10!

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. The home is beautiful and we greatly appreciated the luxury linens and blankets. We spent a very cozy week. We loved the area. The hike to Long Creek Falls and others was amazing. A must do! We spent my birthday at Black Sheep with great food. Southern Charm was also a hit! Blue Ridge had great shops and bars too. Hook & Eye for New Year's was great! We also loved the two friendly cats that visited us. Your thoughtfulness throughout the home and kitchen made our stay awesome. Looking forward to returning. Happy New Years 2023! The jacuzzi was spectacular after those long hikes and horse back riding. We had an amazing holiday season at your place.

We recently stayed at Fairy Cross Chalet and found it to be a paradise in the mountains. The entire cabin is brand new with top of the line appliances, furniture and amenities throughout. We loved that it has both an indoor and outdoor fireplace. It was a unique stay because the cabin has a private hiking trail that was a great workout. The location is just far enough to feel like you are on a remote mountain top but also close enough to get to Blue Ridge within 30 minutes. Also worth mentioning, is that the King size beds were so comfortable that we slept great every night.  Highly recommend this great property and we will surely return.

You all have tastefully decorated and provided us with everything needed to make our stay comfortable. We appreciate the thoughtful gift you left. Our children really enjoyed that. Thank you so much for everything. We will most definitely be returning and enjoyed every moment we spent in the cabin.
