Enjoy a retreat that is detached from the everyday grind, where you’ll feel relaxed and right at home in the warmth of this thoughtfully designed mountain lodge.

The spacious main floor welcomes you with an open-concept layout featuring a two-story, double-sided stone gas fireplace that connects the living, dining, and kitchen areas. With high ceilings, large windows, and cozy seating by the fire, this space invites you to unwind.

The fully equipped kitchen is a culinary dream with granite countertops, wood cabinetry, and all essential appliances, including a gas stovetop, wine refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. Meal times will be a breeze in this space!

When it is time for bed, the main floor master suite boasts a king bed, antique furnishings, and a walk-in closet. You’ll also find two additional king bedrooms upstairs. For those seeking a quiet moment during the day, the upstairs loft offers a cozy sitting area, perfect for reading a good book and taking in the mountain views.

Downstairs, the finished basement is a favorite spot for families or groups, featuring a queen bedroom and a bunkroom with two twin over full bunkbeds, along with a game room stocked with billiards, a Golden Tee arcade video game, PS4 console, and classic board games for hours of entertainment. Sports enthusiasts will have no issue supporting their favorite teams on big game days. YouTube TV, all major college sports networks, and NFL Sunday Ticket is available for all guests to use and enjoy!

Outside, you’ll find plenty of space to embrace the beauty of the surrounding landscape. The screened-in porch, with its gas fireplace, overlooks the creek and mountain views—an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening drinks. Enjoy the hot tub or take a short, scenic drive down to the creek (a great alternative to the steeper walk), where a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, picnic table, and hammock await for serene afternoons by the water. Enjoy trout fishing, kayaking, tubing, and more right on Fightingtown Creek – what a treat!

Beyond the cabin, explore the area’s best spots for outdoor adventure, dining, and shopping. In McCaysville, you’ll love shopping in the quaint downtown, visiting the local breweries, and live music at Tooney's Music Venue, or venture to nearby downtown Blue Ridge for boutique shopping and fine dining. The open floor plan on the main level allowed us all to be together, but we also had plenty of room throughout the house to spread out and relax. The outdoor porch was a great place to congregate and enjoy nature. The side yard gave our dog plenty of room to run around. And the creekside was beautifully maintained.

Fenced Yard for Pups!
The house is very clean and comfortable and well laid out. Lots of space for our two families to spread out and relax. The big side yard was a great place for our dog to run around, and since it’s at the end of the road, we didn’t have to worry about traffic. And we all loved walking down to the beautiful creek. Overall 10/10!

The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The only issue was the very steep stairs going down to the creek but we endured!! It was very nice to have coffee filters, a sponge and liquid soap as well as dishwasher pods. That was over amd above from the places I've rented from in the past.

Spring Break
We went on several hikes, one was "the Swinging Bridge, Copper Miner Candle Shop, Julia’s Dress store, Three Sisters Fudge, Happy Bear, Twisted Tomato, Yellowbird Cafe, the McCaysville Indoor Mall and the Holiday train, Huck's General Store for candy, books, toys etc. We also spent Spring Break here and this is where my parents had their honeymoon.

Thanksgiving
We hiked to the creek, mined for gems, rode the holiday train, and explored intown McCaysville. We saw so many deer had the best time. This house is absolutely stunning! Thank you! This was our first Thanksgiving without our boy, Jagger, but when we saw the Wifi password (Jagger), made us feel like he was here. Honored to be your first guest!
