One of our favorite local courses is owned by our friends at Old Toccoa Farm! You can stay right on the property at Bunker Down or in one of the Hillside Cottages, just steps from the green. Old Toccoa Farm is truly a standout among North Georgia’s golf courses. The original nine holes opened in 2015 and quickly earned rave reviews, with some even comparing the course to the legendary Augusta National. Today, with all 18 holes open and the layout reconfigured, Old Toccoa Farm has cemented its reputation as one of the region’s premier golf destinations; even earning one of Golf Digest’s “Best New Courses” in 2020 and one of Links Magazine’s 10 Must-Visit Public Golf Destinations in 2022. Once you step onto the course, it’s easy to understand why golfers can’t stop talking about it!

Winding through 125 acres of beautiful ridges and meadows, a game of golf here offers breathtaking views of the Chattahoochee and Cherokee National Forests, along with the surrounding valleys. The course is thoughtfully designed with exceptional features throughout, including bentgrass 007 greens and zoysia fairways that provide an ideal playing surface. Golfers will also find a family-friendly par-three course and driving range combination, making it a welcoming place to practice and play. And with countless tournaments and events happening at Old Toccoa Farm year-round, there’s no shortage of opportunities to get involved!

Head on over to Blairsville to play at the beautiful Butternut Creek Golf Course. The course plays through rolling valleys and up challenging slopes with mountain views from all 18 holes. Butternut Creek might be a modest 6,500+ yards, but it offers fun challenges to even the most expert of players. Throughout the course, golfers will be met with water and mounds, undulating greens, and elevation changes. Plus, you'll find 4 to 6 tee boxes on every hole to give challenging options for every player.

Designed by renowned American golf course architect, Bill Watts, Butternut Creek Golf Course boasts Penncross Bent Grass greens and Tifton 419 Bermuda fairways and tees. And the roughs and mounds have common Bermuda and love grass. Owned and operated by the Union County Recreation Department, Butternut Creek Golf Course sits in downtown Blairsville and is in close proximity to the best shops & restaurants that Blairsville has to offer.
