Spring has sprung in the mountains, and we can’t wait for all the exciting festivals and events that come with it! Enjoy the beautiful spring weather and mountain views at the Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival at the end of this month or celebrate Easter with the whole family with Easter Brunch and an Easter egg hunt at Old Toccoa Farm! Georgia Mountain Ford Nationals

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Ford lovers will love this exciting car show event! The Georgia Mountain Ford Nationals event will take place at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds on Thursday, April 2nd from 8am-5pm, Friday, April 3rd from 8am-5pm, and Saturday, April 4th from 8am-4pm. The car show is open to all Ford cars and trucks, all years and models. Admission is $10 a day and kids 12 & under are free!

Nature’s Generosity-Traveling Wildlife Photography Exhibition

April 4th-April 30th

Location: Blue Ridge Arts Association 

The Art Center will be hosting the all-new Nature’s Generosity Traveling Exhibition, presented by the Wilderness Photography Foundation. This powerful and inspiring collection of wildlife photography will be on view for eight weeks, inviting visitors to experience the breathtaking beauty, diversity, and fragility of our natural world through the lens of world-class photographers.


Easter Sunday Brunch

April 5th

Location: Old Toccoa Farm

Celebrate with the family and enjoy a delicious Easter Brunch at The Tavern at Old Toccoa Farm on Easter morning. There will be a carving station, omelet station, a flapjack station, and a wide variety of buffet options to enjoy! Plus fun children's activities like an Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny visits, face painting, lawn games and more! Adults are $70 per person, children (ages 2-10) are $35 and children 2 & under are free! 


First Tuesday Twin City Music Live Band and Jam

April 7th 

Location: YMCA Copperhill

Head on over to Copperhill, TN for live music the first Tuesday of every month! Music goes from 6pm-8pm and after the concert stick around for a fun acoustic jam session. 


Steel Magnolias

April 9th-April 26th

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater

Come experience the beloved play, Steel Magnolias that the famous 1989 film was based on. This heartwarming play full of southern charm captures the power of friendship and the enduring spirit of women who support each other through thick and thin. Georgia Mountain Story Telling Festival

April 10th-11th

Location: The Ridges Resort

Come on out to the Ridges Resort in Hiawassee and discover the art of storytelling! This two-day festival will feature lots of storytelling, workshops, and much more! Tickets are $25 for one day or $40 for two.


Sade Tribute Concert

April 11th

Location: Roo Mountain Vineyards

Get ready to rock the night away at Roo Mountain Vineyards for Venae: A Sade Tribute Band. Guests can relax with friends, enjoy Roo’s wines and bar offerings, and sing along to beloved hits like “Smooth Operator,” “No Ordinary Love,” and “By Your Side.” Tickets are $40 per person and available through Kharisma Entertainment.


The Rhododendron Festival

April 11th-April 30th 

Location: Hamilton Gardens 

Head over to Hiawassee for a month filled with spring fun at The Rhododendron Festival at their beautifulHamilton Gardens. Not only will you have the chance to tour the lovely gardens in full bloom but you will also have the chance to enjoy live music, delicious food, art demonstrations, a plant sale, daily seminars, and much more! Admission to the gardens is $10 requested donation to help support the Hamilton Gardens. The event takes place daily from April 11th-May 10th.


Veneto Italy Wine Tasting

April 18th 

Location: Old Toccoa Farm

Be transported to beautiful Italy with a Veneto Italy Wine Tasting at the Tavern. Sip thoughtfully selected reds and whites — from the crisp, sparkling Prosecco to the rich, velvety Amarone della Valpolicella — paired with complimentary bites crafted by the culinary team. Reservations are $55 per person. 


Sasquatch Strut 5K 

April 18th 

Location: Harrison Park Ellijay 

Runners get ready for the 5th Annual Sasquatch Strut 5K in Harrison Park! Participants will run along the park trails and McCutchen Street. After the race, runners and spectators can enjoy live music & food vendors. The race helps to raise funds for the Friends of Harrison Park organization and encourages exercise and outdoor activities within the community.


Woofstock

April 18th

Location: Downtown Ellijay 

Ellijay is hosting a doggone awesome party at this year’s Woofstock event! This dog-friendly day features vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and contests for you and your favorite four-legged friends! Proceeds from the event will benefit FOGAS programs for spay/neuter clinics, vaccination clinics, TNR programs, educational programs, and vetting of shelter animals going to rescue.


Record Store Day

April 18th

Come celebrate music the way it was intended to be enjoyed at Deaf Man Vinyl's annual Record Store Day celebration! You’ll discover unique vinyl releases, limited pressings, and special giveaways.


Spring Downtown Market 

April 18th 

Location: Downtown Blairsville 

The 6th annual Spring Outdoor Market in Downtown Blairsville will have 40+ local artists, music, food, a petting zoo, live demonstrations and classic cars from the Cruise In on the Square Car Show. Come out for an afternoon of family fun!


Feast of Wonders: A Circus of Flavors

April 24th

Location: Roo Mountain Vineyards

Keeping with the circus theme in honor of Cirque Du Roo the following day, Roo Mountain Vineyards will be hosting a luxurious wine dinner in the Roo Barrel Room. The Barrel Room will transform into a stage of color, texture, and culinary magic, where each course is as visually captivating as it is indulgent. Expect bold flavors, theatrical presentations, and wine pairings thoughtfully selected to elevate every bite.


Enchanted Spring Fling

April 25th 

Location: Downtown Young Harris 

Ring in spring with a fun spring fling celebration in Downtown Young Harris! On Saturday, April 26th from 1pm-3pm there will be art vendors, food trucks, plant sales, and more in store Downtown! You won’t want to miss it!


Cirque Du Roo 

April 25th

Location: Roo Mountain Vineyards

The circus is coming to Ellijay! Roo Mountain Vineyards will transform from a beautiful mountain winery into the Big Top, featuring talented performers, passed heavy appetizers, and circus-themed drink specials all night long. This 21+ event is $85 per person, with limited tickets, so secure your spot today! 


Run for the Rhodos

April 25th 

Location: Hamilton Gardens 

Join in the fun for Hamilton Garden’s Run for the Rhodos 5K! This race will weave through the wooded trails of the beautiful Hamilton Gardens! Registration is $43.40 per runner and benefits Hamilton Garden’s on-going mission to FUEL NATURE! 


Hiawassee Highlands Wine Festival

April 25th

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Explore the beautiful Hamilton Gardens and drink wine all day long at the Hiawassee Highlands Wine Festival at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds! There will be live music, arts & craft vendors, live music, food, garden tours, and 30+ wineries in attendance at this awesome event! Tickets are $40 a person online or $45 at the gate.


Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival 

April 25th  

Location: Downtown City Park

The Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival is back for the 9th year in a row and bigger than ever! Learn all about fly fishing from dozens of local guides. There will even be outdoor activities to try out like a climbing wall, a mountain bike course, axe throwing, gem mining, and more! After your adventures shop for beautiful outdoor art made by local artists and have some food & drink in the beer garden. You won’t want to miss out on all the fun!


Trout Trot 5K 

April 25th 

Location: Riverwalk Shops 

Run 3.1 miles through 2 states! The 5K takes place in the beautiful twin cities of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. Food, drinks, and music will be ready for your enjoyment before and after the race. Come on out and get ready to RACE!


Cooking Class at the Tavern

April 28th

Location: Old Toccoa Farm

Ready to learn more about the art of cooking? The Tavern at Old Toccoa Farm's talented chef and culinary team will help guide guests through techniques, flavors, and ingredients that bring each dish to life. Menu and more details to be shared soon. 


High School Musical 

April 30th

Location: Blue Ridge Community Theater

The kids of Sunny D Theater are putting on the beloved show High School Musical, based on the Disney Channel Original Movie of the same name. Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing classes and extra-curricular activities. This one-act edition is a 90-minute rendition performed in the black-box theater with a student-led directorial team. Shows are Thursday – Saturday at 6:30 and Saturday & Sunday at 2pm.  The show runs April 30th-May 3rd.  Please call the box office at 706-632-9191 for tickets.
