Spring is in full swing here in the mountains and there’s no shortage of events & outdoor fun to get into this time of year! This month we’ve got plenty of live music, races of all kinds (running, mountain biking, and car races), cooking festivals, rodeos, and the 50th Annual Spring Arts in the Park event in Downtown Blue Ridge. The kids of Sunny D Theater are putting on the beloved show High School Musical, based on the Disney Channel Original Movie of the same name. Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing classes and extra-curricular activities. This one-act edition is a 90-minute rendition performed in the black-box theater with a student-led directorial team. Shows are Thursday – Saturday at 6:30 and Saturday & Sunday at 2pm. This epic mountain race is designed for experienced trail runners with qualifications and requirements to be eligible for entry. The Cruel Jewel 100 Marathon is a 104-mile foot race in the heart of the Chattahoochee National Forest in the North Georgia Mountains. The race will take runners on 92 miles of trails, 12 miles of mountain roads, and 20 aid stations. It'll be an epic weekend filled with nature, racing, and fun!

Spring Arts, Crafts, and Music Festival

This fun annual event takes place annually in Downtown Blairsville and this year’s event will be held Memorial Day weekend! There will be a parade Saturday at 10am and both days will have lots of crafters & live music! The Spring Arts, Crafts & Music Festival is free to attend!
50th Annual Spring Arts in the Park

Location: Blue Ridge Downtown City Park
The Spring Arts in the Park is back for it’s 50th year in a row! Shop artworks from over 175 juried fine artists! There will also be food vendors and artist demos all weekend long. Admission is $5 for adults and children 12 & under are free! All proceeds go towards the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association.

Celebrate the long weekend by watching bucking broncos & bulls at the annual Hiawassee Pro Rodeo! See some of the world’s best contestants from the U.S. and Canada as well as some amazing specialty acts! The whole family will love it! Tickets are $25 for adults and children 5 & under are free!

Come out to Buck Bald Brewing to support a great cause and enjoy some delicious brews! There will be plenty of brews on tap, bbq plates, live music, karaoke, a silent auction, and all proceeds will go towards the Humane Society of Blue Ridge. Drop by from 12pm-5pm.
