Friends in High Places

Our group utilized all of the rooms and amenities that the cabin provided. We loved the top floor where we used the round table to play cards. The fire pit outside provided us an opportunity to talk and share our thoughts and be memorized by the flames. Overall the service was top tier. This was the best cabin we have ever stayed in.

We loved the place it was perfect for our family get together. There was an expected ice storm the day of departure and we were well communicated with and allowed extra time for our departure as well as flexibility if we needed to make last minute changes. Thank you for providing this wonderful location.

The set up of this home was perfect for my family as I have 3 adult daughters and their spouse/kids. The kitchen had everything you could ever need to prepare meals and snacks. The refrigerator had plenty of space for all the food we brought. It was beautiful and the wood burning and gas fireplaces were perfect for each experience we shared. Of course, the game room was a great entertaining space along with the loft as a relaxing spot to hang out. The fire pit area was magical at night.

This was our second time staying here (which should say something), and it was just as great as before. The kitchen is very well stocked and large, which helped since we had to prepare some dishes for a Thanksgiving get together elsewhere. The bedrooms all have king beds, great for a family with all adult children. The family room on the main level, the large deck, and the game room downstairs, and the hot tub all saw good use. Our son even used the loft for an online work meeting one morning. This home has so many different sitting/entertainment areas it's amazing. And it's very convenient to both McCaysville and Blue Ridge. The host even contacted me the day before our visit to let me know we could even check in a few hours early, which was greatly appreciated.

The house was absolutely fantastic. And all of the great suggestions on things to do in the area. We had three couples in their 60s and just had an incredibly wonderful time. One small recommendation might be to put a TV out by the hot tub so we could watch football from the hot tub :-). But overall, the house is a 10!

Well-stocked; loved all kings and the fireplaces in each bedroom! The outdoor space, particularly the main level patio are delightful. The large bar and 8-person dining table are also very nice features. Superb decor and furnishings.

We had a great week at Friends at High Places. The place was better than expected and was the perfect space for us to spend the weekend with family. There was no shortage of space to hang out - between the main living space, the loft, both outdoor porches, the basement or around the fire pit/hot-tub. The kitchen was fully equipped and we loved cooking meals on the grill. The en-suite bedrooms were perfect for our group as well. The location was fairly convenient - slightly off of the main road and easy to find. A quick 5 minute drive to McCaysville for last minute groceries or 15 minutes to DT Blue Ridge for dinner or a day on the lake. We will definitely stay again.

This was by far the BEST Airbnb we have ever rented! We travel ALOT and have stayed in hundreds of vaca rentals over the years and Friends in High Places was the most wonderful home we've ever stayed at. I say "home" because that's exactly what it felt like. No detail was overlooked. It is warm, cozy and relaxing. It is NOT cheaply and sparsely furnitured/decorated like most. Someone put time and thought into making this place feel like a home in true mountain style. Everything from the furniture, comfy beds, light fixtures, nik naks, ect. The home is well stocked and most importantly extremely clean. Our family of 8 enjoyed every detail, fire places in EVERY room, huge TV's and gaming areas, great hot tub, huge awesome firepit area! We settled in so nicely, a week wasn't long enough. We all wanted to stay! The home has a perfect floor plan to offer privacy and family bonding as well. It truly is the perfect vaca home!

This property was a perfect way to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday as well as our son's 20th birthday. Plenty of room for all 7 of our family to join in the celebration. The large kitchen was probably the best part...we spent many hours around the kitchen island with the six wonderful bar stools! We also enjoyed the very spacious loft area with plenty of comfortable seating for everybody! The outside deck was quite accommodating and the weather was beautiful enough to enjoy eating lunch out at the 8 person square table as well as plenty of leisure time and conversation around the outside fireplace. The only drawbacks were (1) the fact that the dresser in the upstairs suite was cheap and when we tried to use the drawers they did not function ;as they should (2) the pool table was very poor quality with some of the pool balls being chipped and cracked and even the 9 ball had chunks chipped out of it. I would've have expected higher quality for a cabin of this caliber. (3) would have been nice to have a chair or bench of some sort in the main floor bedrooms to be able to sit on to get dressed or put shoes on. Other than that...we all had a very enjoyable time making lasting memories that we will all cherish for years to come!

Such an amazing place to stay!! It had somthing for all the kids. We loved having all the space It was so open, and a great place to get away. Had so much fun with movie nights in the loft, the hot tub, pool table and a big island for breakfast. Went to downtown Blue Ridge and on the Ziplining Canopy Tours, Aska Mining and to Mercier Orchards.

We stayed in Blue Ridge for a long weekend for a family reunion, and had a wonderful time at this home. The house is spacious, each bedroom has it's own full bath and fireplace (perfect for families with multiple adult kids). There are so many spaces to hang out between the great room on the main floor, the loft, the game room downstairs, and the 2 huge decks (and fire pit!). It all seems pretty new, and the kitchen is very well equipped. The driveway is a little steep but you're in the mountains, so most of them are. Plenty of space for parking. We will definitely try to stay here again when we come back to the Blue Ridge area.

My family and I had such a wonderful time at this cabin as we evacuated from Hurricane Milton. This home was absolutely perfect. No detailed was spared- it had everything you needed and could ask for. Great host. Extremely clean and cozy. Can’t wait to book again in the near future!

The cabin in beautiful, the best we have ever stayed in. Loved how well appointed the kitchen is. I would suggest you have a bathroom with a safety bar in the shower and a higher toilet seat for people in their 70's. Roasting marshmallows by the fire ring and watching football on the outdoor TV. Great hot tub and spending some time with our family and just relaxing. We always shop in Blue Ridge and we enjoyed the Cotton Shop, Ace Hardware, the Canoe Store and Merciers Orchards.

Beautiful and spacious cabin. We enjoyed making any meals in the gorgeous and well equipped kitchen. The upper loft area is divine and the decor was well thought out and everything was clean and the cabin still has that pleasant new smell! Outdoor patio, pool table and luxurious decor and Privacy!! We also visited Cowgirl UP Ranch, Blue Ridge Marina and Amicaloloa Falls State Park.

The cabin was the best vacation "We have ever had”! The cabin was absolutely breathtaking & comfortable. The outdoor furniture was top notch & comfy - We made memories to last a lifetime! We plan to make it an annual trip! The furniture is amazing - beds & outdoor seating and the decor is truly out of a Magazine ! The layout we enjoyed tremendously.
