Spring is in the air, and we’re excited for a month of fun spring activities in events all around Blue Ridge and North Georgia! Get ready for Easter egg hunts, spring markets, garden tours, the Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival, and lots of live music!

Live Music at Chateau Meichtry

This beautiful winery located in Talking Rock, GA has both outdoor & indoor seating options, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the winery no matter the weather. This hometown band featuring Jim Richter plays a variety of music from R&B, jazz, rock, swing, and blues. You’ll be on your feet dancing in no time! Don’t miss this night of music at Blue Ridge Community Theater for their Live Music is Better series! Nana’s Naughty Knickers

Come on out to Blue Ridge Community Theater’s hilarious production of Nana’s Naughty Knickers! When Bridget goes to live with her Nana in New York over the summer she gets more than she bargained for. Nana is selling handmade naughty knickers to every senior citizen in the area from an illegal boutique she runs in her apartment. Watch the excitement unfold on the Blue Ridge Community Theater stage Thursdays-Sundays April 6th – April 23rd. Shows are Thursdays- Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 2pm. Movie in the Park

Easter Egg Hunt at the Groovy Zoo

Come to the fun and unique Groovy Zoo in McCaysville, GA that’s covered in metal, plastic, and wooden zoo animals. And this year they’ll be having their first ever Easter Egg Hunt! There will be over 2500 eggs to find, all with prizes! And the best find is one of the golden eggs!

28th Annual Community Easter Egg Hunt

Join St. Luke’s in Blue Ridge for their 28th Annual Egg Hunt! The fun kicks off at 1pm with children of all ages welcome! Afterwards, prizes will be awarded to those who find the prize eggs and refreshments will be served.

Easter Egg Hunt

You can’t have Easter without an Easter egg hunt! Bring the kids out to The Ridges Resort Sunday afternoon from 2pm – 3pm for a good old fashioned Easter Egg hunt! The Easter Bunny will also be there to take pictures with the kiddos!

Easter Brunch
April 9th

Celebrate with the family and enjoy a delicious Easter buffet at The Tavern at Old Toccoa Farm from 10am – 4pm on Easter morning. There will be a carving station, omelet action station, a dessert station, and so many other delicious dishes to try! There will even be live music from Mountain Gypsy Music from 12pm – 3pm. Price is $45 per person or $20 for children 12 & under. Reservations are required.

2nd Thursdays Stateline Stroll

Get moving the second Thursday of every month with the Stateline Stroll! Walk, jog, or run around the block and cross the state line on this casual stroll. Start whenever and end whenever; and when you’re finished enjoy a drink at Burra Burra or Twisted Tomato and listen to some live music at Tooney’s!

Head to the beautiful Hamilton Gardens in Hiawassee GA Thursday nights this month for their Acoustic Sunsets Concert Series. The event takes place every Thursday night now through May 11th from 6pm – 9pm and will include craft vendors, food trucks, and live music. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and come on out for an evening of fun!

Women on the Water Retreat

Georgia Mountain Story Telling Festival

Head over to Hiawassee for 5 weekends filled with spring fun at The Rhododendron Festival at their beautiful Hamilton Gardens. Not only will you have the chance to tour the lovely gardens at full bloom but you will also have the chance to enjoy live music, food and craft vendors, a plant sale, daily seminars, and much more! Admission to the gardens is $5 and the event takes place every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from April 14th – May 14th.

Chimps Rock

Come see the chimps and take a guided tour of the Project Chimps sanctuary. Kids can also paint rocks with sweet messages for the chimps. For $10 children will receive an 45 – 60 minute guided tour, a rock to paint, a chance to see chimps close up at one of the viewing windows, and one adult ticket included.

Bourbon Revival Band- Music for Mutts Benefit Concert
April 22nd

Bourbon Revival Band will be performing a benefit concert in Downtown City Park to raise funds for Fannin Canine Fund to build a new Animal Control Facility in Fannin County. Kentucky’s #1 Bluegrass Band will be performing from 12pm – 3pm. Admission is free but donations are requested.

Tuesdays with Morrie

Come on out to Blue Ridge Community Theater’s production of Tuesdays with Morrie! The show follows the autobiographical story of Mitch Albom and Morrie Schwartz. Mitch is an accomplished journalist and Morrie is his former professor; 16 years after graduation Mitch learns that Morrie is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Mitch goes to visit him and his simple visit turns into a weekly one where they discuss the meaning of life. Trout Trot 5K
April 29th

Run 3.1 miles through 2 states! The 5K takes place in the beautiful twin cities of McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. Food, drinks, and music will be ready for your enjoyment before and after the race. Come on out and get ready to RACE!

Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival

The Blue Ridge Trout and Outdoor Adventures Festival is back for the 6th year in a row and bigger than ever! Learn all about fly fishing from dozens of local guides. There will even be outdoor activities to try out like a climbing wall, a mountain bike course, axe throwing, gem mining, trout fishing and more! After your adventures shop for beautiful outdoor art made by local artists and have some food & drink in the beer garden. You won’t want to miss out on all the fun!

Atlanta Rhythm Section and Pure Prairie League

A little Southern Rock is all we need, a southern rock music from two rock legends like Atlanta Rhythm Section and Pure Prairie League!? Count us in! Atlanta Rhythm Section have been in the music business for over 50 years and are known for their big hits like “So Into You”, “Champagne Jam”, and “Imaginary Lover.” While Pure Prairie League are known as one of country rock’s pioneering forces and with 43 years of experience they sure know how to put on a show!
