The Savannah Sipping Society

Come enjoy some local theater with Blue Ridge Community Theater’s production of Savannah Sipping Society. This comedy follows 4 unique southern women looking to escape their daily routine. Over 6 months of hilarious misadventures these spunky middle aged women come together and find a way to get their life back on track. Get ready for Christmas in Blue Ridge 2 months early at Merry Little Christmas Party which helps raise funds for Light Up Blue Ridge next month! U-Pick in the Orchard

Head over to Deep Roots Orchards in McCaysville for U-Pick apple picking all month long! Wednesday – Sunday every week you can pick apples from 10am – 5:30pm and go for a tractor ride as well!

Indian Summer Festival

There will be vendors selling pottery, quilts, jewelry, homemade goods, leather crafts, furniture and so much more! Plein Air Exhibit

Annual Georgia Mountain Pickleball Fall Classic

Come on out for this massive annual pickleball tournament hosted by Georgia Mountain Pickleball and Towns County! There will be over 350 players from all over the country competing. Friday, September 30th will be Women’s Doubles, Saturday, October 1st will be Mixed Doubles, and Sunday October 2nd will be Men’s Doubles. Bring a chair and come enjoy the tournament!

Fall Fest – North Mt. Zion Church

Swine & Dine BBQ Week & Cookoff

Lady of the Lake Race

Come race away at the park for 4 to 8 hours at the 4th Annual Lady of the Lake Race. You’ll race on the 1 mile trail loop around the beautiful Lake Trahlyta nestled at the base of Coosa and Blood mountains at Vogel State Park. Try to run as many or as few laps as you please in 4 or 8 hours!

Line Dancing Class

Acoustic Sunsets at Hamilton Gardens

Blue Ridge Ultra Race

The Blue Ridge Ultra Race is a 50K loop trail race through the beautiful Chattahoochee National Forest. You’ll start and finish at the Shallowford bridge and make your way through 6 miles of the Benton MacKaye trail, 6 miles of Hidden trails and 9 miles of Forest Service roads. Choose either the 15K race or the 30K race and be sure to register by October 6th!

The Oak Ridge Boys Front Porch Singin’ Tour

Country music legends the Oak Ridge Boys are coming to the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds! The Oak Ridge Boys have been performing gospel and country tunes together since the 1940’s and have helped to popularize and modernize Country Music over their many years in the business. See them live in concert October 8th at 7pm! Tickets are $45+ handling and also gets your free admission into the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival earlier that day!

Blue Ridge Marching Band Festival
October 8th

If you love the sounds of a marching band this is the event for you! Over 2,000 marching band members are expected to participate so the Fannin County football field will be filled with the sounds of music! The bands will range in size from 40 member to 150+ members.

Georgia Apple Festival

You can’t have fall without apples so head over to Ellijay, GA for The Georgia Apple Festival! With over 250 vendors, an antique car show, a parade, and so much more it’s sure to be a blast! Visit Ellijay Lions Club Fairgrounds on weekends October 8th – 16th to have an “apple”achian good time!

53rd Blairsville Sorghum Festival
October 8th – October 16th

The Sorghum Festival is one of the longest-running festivals in North Georgia. The event kicks off with a parade and then there will be crafters, cloggers, bluegrass music and more! Visit Meeks Park in Blairsville, GA Saturdays & Sundays October 8th – 16th to take part!

Fall Arts in the Park

Calling all art lovers! The popular Arts in the Park event is back this fall! Beautiful art, great live musical performances, and delicious food. Plus you’ll get a chance to admire the stunning and colorful fall trees that surround the park! The event takes place October 9th – 10th at Downtown Blue Ridge and continues into Veterans Memorial Park. Admission is $5 a person and children get in free!

Harvest Sale of Blue Ridge

SAAG National Juried Show

It’s the 14th Annual Southern Appalachian Artist Guild (SAAG) National Juried Show! This great art event shows off a variety of national artists in a wide variety of mediums right here at the Blue Ridge Art Center. These talented artists works are on display October 15th – November 11th with an opening reception October 15th from 5pm – 7pm.

Gold Rush Day Festival
October 15th – October 16th 
Location: Dahlongea – Lumpkin Chamber of Commerce

Celebrate Dahlonega’s 1828 discovery of gold at Gold Rush Days Festival, October 15th – 16th with the Dahlonega – Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce. Take in the 300+ food and art vendors that will be selling their wares all weekend long! This HUGE event is expected to have a crowd of over 200,000 over the weekend and has been voted as one of the Top 20 Events in the southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Heritage Day Festival

Paws in the Park

Bring your furry friend to Paws in the Park for a fun filled day! Local Animal Rescue Groups come together to create awareness about the needs & concerns of the homeless & abandoned animals. 55th Annual Mountain Moonshine Festival & Car Show
October 21st – October 23rd

The Mountain Moonshine Festival & Car Show is back at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame in Dawsonville for the 55th year in a row! This huge event has hundreds of vintage cars, live music, great food & drinks, a Moonshine Run, and over 300+ vendors! You can even meet legendary race car drivers! Winnie the Pooh

Wurst Festival Ever

This will be the “wurst” festival you ever attend, wink wink! Your $30 entry fee will get you a custom pint glass, one free beer and the best wurst sausage you have ever had. Appalachian Brew, Que, and Stew Festival
